Bienvenido!
My name is Pauline Hinder and I am the owner of Vall de Pop Properties.com. Before I came to Spain, I had lived most of my life in various parts of the West of England - latterly in Exeter, Devon reputed ´best quality of life in the UK´ in 2004/5. I am a Graduate of the University of Plymouth (1997) with an Upper Second Combined Honours Degree in English with History. In the UK my principle hobby was house-hunting; buying, reforming and moving up the property ladder. Also in France. In 2004, after a particularly arduous UK house purchase, I found myself on a week's break in Calp. It was a first foray into mainland Spain following an unhappier 2 weeks in Tenerife some 15 years before! I fell in love with the country and its people in a moment!
I am now living my dream and am based in Xaló in the beutiful Vall de Pop after living for over 5 years with the Costa´s ' bucket and spade' holidaymakers. The Vall is a stunningly glorious area of the Costa Blanca with its mountain range, the Sierra Bernia, equal in majesty yet bigger than Uluru, Australia! Come and see for yourself. I have excellent accommodation options available for viewing visits, information provided on request.
For over 3 years I have been working in a Spanish estate agency prior to starting www.valldepopproperties.com. During this period, I fine-honed the corporate style of business I wanted to have with my own agency:-
- The first decision was where I would base my business; the Vall de Pop drew me for several reasons - fewer cars and a more relaxed attitude to an all-year-round way of life as opposed to a seaside town with a lifecycle of city-dwellers on stressed weekend breaks or main holidays and for the other 9/10 months – devoid of much life!
- The second decision was regarding my personal quality of life - clean air, freedom, forms of leisure including theatre (yes - in Alcalali!), cycling, walking, horse riding, rock climbing, dining-out in pretty Vall de Pop villages and even keeping pets........practically impossible to pursue in seaside/larger towns. See the Vall de Pop tourism site www.valldepop.es.
- The third reason to relocate to Vall de Pop is that its Mancomunidad (or group of villages) has mandated core beliefs in the promotion of sustainable lifestyles – including care over buildings (new build permissions and thoughtful restoration of old properties etc) as well as eco-tourism and care of the media ambiente or environment - something you hear little of in Spain. I found these and its other ethics accorded with my own why not read them for yourself on the Mancomunidad site of www.valldepop.com.
- The fourth business decision I took was to be a specialist: my job is to find my clients the home of their dreams, secure its purchase and make the whole experience as happy, well-informed, exciting and enjoyable as possible. I am delighted to be able to offer businesses for sale or lease as an extra dimension to the property listings. Thise whole area has a thriving residential population which is bolstered by the all year round tourist and second home ownership populace, making it an ideal zone for taking over a business or setting-up a new one. If I haven't got what you are looking for in either residential or commercial property, just contact me and I will happily search for you. All other services would be done by other professional specialists.
- The fifth and final decision I took was to share out my work amongst the community in which I am living. This is part of the Spanish ethos already; to use reliable local contacts to do work. I wish to share my clients' legal, building/reform works, as well as the other services I offer, amongst the resources of Vall de Pop community. It makes the community more sustainable and stable as a result. We´ve all felt the effects of the Global Economy in the recent financial crisis – globalization doesn´t work. We need the corner shop and the superstore and each has its merit but neither stands alone. There is room for everyone and in the Vall de Pop you can find a happy mix of smaller businesses and larger ones too.
Unlike other agents, I don't pretend to be a lawyer. Buying in the countryside can be more problematic than in the towns and there have been many TV horror stories of painful overseas property purchases. I don't want this to happen with my clients. I want you to be happy and to recommend my services to your family, friends and colleagues. For these reasons and more, I will put all my language, IT skills, local knowledge and contacts at your disposal. My sales and purchase contracts are all drawn up Monica Mas Estelrich, a Madrid-trained lady lawyer born in Jalon here in the Vall de Pop and with whom I share an office here in Jalon.
Monica speaks fluent English, French, Castellano/Spanish and Valenciano and can explain and oversee the whole Spanish purchase process to you. She will accompany us to the Notary to handle everything when the day arrives for you to purchase your Spanish home. Her normal house purchase/sale services are already included within my own commission on the property prices. She will happily advise re Spanish wills etc. and this will be charged to you direct. We also have the services of a Gestor (English equivalent of an Accountant) for financial questions. You are, of course, free to choose your own lawyer but at your own expense.
I hope to meet you and that in the meantime you enjoy surfing my website www.valldepopproperties.com where 99% of the photos I have taken myself in the Vall de Pop! I trust that you will also see that I am more than an estate agent...................I am helping you to a beautiful new way of life.....................here, in the Vall de Pop.
Saludos
